DESCRIPTION
Developed during the quartz crisis which strongly hit the Swiss watch industry in the late 1960s and beginning of the 1970s, the Royal Oak revolutionised the market creating a new category: stainless steel sports watches.
Produced only from 1977 until 1980, yellow gold versions are particularly rare (less than 1000 pieces produced). The present example bears number 424 in its case back and is accompanied by the original box and warranty.
